Garden Sage Salvia East Friesland (2Ltr Pot)

Salvia nemorosa East Friesland is a compact, clump-forming perennial for sunny borders, producing dense upright spires of rich violetpurple flowers through summer that are highly attractive to pollinators. Forming neat mounds of green foliage, it suits the front to middle of mixed borders and repeat-flowers well if deadheaded. Best in full sun but will tolerate light shade, in moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Fully hardy in Ireland, reaching around 3045cm tall and wide.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.

Position: Full sun; tolerates light shade
