Camassia coerulea Dark Blue

Camassia coerulea Dark Blue is a bulbous, deciduous perennial valued for upright spires of rich blue, starry flowers in late spring. Well suited to Irish gardens, it thrives in moisture-retentive, fertile, well-drained soil and grows in full sun or light shade. Ideal for naturalising through grass, meadow-style plantings and mixed borders, its blooms make good cut flowers and are attractive to pollinating insects.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
