Camellia ret. Mary Williams

Camellia ret. Mary Williams is a Camellia reticulata selection prized for its large, showy pink blooms in early to mid spring, displayed against glossy, evergreen foliage. Grow in a sheltered, lightly shaded position in Ireland, in acid (ericaceous), humus-rich, moist but welldrained soil; avoid chalk or lime and protect flower buds from early morning sun after frosts. An elegant specimen for a sheltered border or woodland-edge setting, where consistent moisture and spring mulching help maintain performance and bloom quality.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
