CHAENOMELES SUPERBA NIVALIS

Chaenomeles superba Nivalis is a hardy, deciduous flowering quince valued for its masses of pure white, cup-shaped blooms on thorny, leafless stems in early spring (MarchApril), followed by decorative, yellowgreen, quince-like fruits in autumn. It forms a dense, easily trained shrub for a sunny or lightly shaded wall, mixed shrub border, or informal hedge. Thrives in moderately fertile, welldrained soil; prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage the next seasons display. Fully hardy in Ireland.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
