Chrysanthemums, also known as mums, are beautiful flowering plants widely cultivated for their vibrant blooms. They are a popular choice in Irish gardens due to their adaptability to the climate and their striking display of colors.

Height/Spread: Chrysanthemums vary in height and spread depending on the cultivar, ranging from compact varieties around 1-2 feet (30-60 centimeters) in height to taller varieties that can reach up to 3-4 feet (90-120 centimeters) in height. Their spread can range from 1-3 feet (30-90 centimeters), creating lovely mounded or bushy forms.

Position: Chrysanthemums thrive in full sun to partial shade in the Irish climate. They appreciate a location that receives at least six hours of direct sunlight per day for optimal growth and abundant flowering. However, some afternoon shade can help protect them from intense sunlight during the warmer months.
