Prunus inc. Kojou-no-mai

Prunus inc. Kojou-no-mai is a compact, deciduous fuji cherry prized for its masses of early spring blossom and distinctive zigzagging branches. Deep pink buds open to single white to very pale pink flowers along the bare stems in MarchApril, followed by fresh green leaves that develop rich orangered autumn colour. Grow in full sun and in moist but welldrained, moderately fertile soil; ideal as a specimen for small gardens or a sunny border in Irish conditions. Fully hardy and reliable once established.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
