ALSTROEMERIA Indian Summer

Alstroemeria Indian Summer is a striking, long-flowering Peruvian lily prized for its rich bronze foliage and warm orange to yellow blooms, lightly marked, that appear from early summer into autumn. Well suited to Irish borders, beds and containers, it reaches about 80cm tall by 60cm wide and makes superb, long-lasting cut flowers. Grow in full sun or light shade in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil; deadhead or pick regularly to prolong flowering, mulch in winter for added protection, and guard new shoots from slugs and snails.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
