Campanula muralis Kris

A low, mat-forming, semi-evergreen bellflower ideal for walls, rockeries, edging, and containers, Campanula muralis Kris bears abundant blue, bell-shaped flowers in early to late summer. Best in Ireland in sun or light shade, it thrives in moderately fertile, well-drained soil and will perform well in crevices and on retaining walls. Shear lightly after the first flush to tidy and encourage fresh growth, and water during prolonged dry spells until established. A reliable, pollinator-friendly groundcover that knits together paving and softens stonework with long-season colour.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
